I just purchased a two month supply of Acomplia. My worst time of the day for overeating is at night. Given this, does anyone have an opinion as to when the most effective time of day would be for me to take a dose? Or does it not matter?

Almost everyone posts that nightime snacking is the biggest problem we are having...I tried going 1/2 am and then 1/2 pm but found that I was getting symptoms (tiredness, weakness..signs that my blood sugar was acting up again..so I went back to 1 pill aday in the morning...the sypmtoms have disappeared..I have to constantly remind myself that this is not just about weight loss but rather improving my overall health...sorry, but I have tried all times of the day and nothing has made a difference.

Taking the Accomplia has helped me to reduce my cravings overall...I haven't had a bag of my favorite potato chips nor have I bought a bag of candy in 5 months..sure, I get munchies at night but nothing like the insanity of before..

Also, you know those Monday morning swear I start my diet again promises..well since being on Accomplia I rarely have those guilty mornings when I know I shoudn't have eaten what I did..just overate occassionaly...

I also know that not gaining weight is also important as well for me, because I was going up up up...even a small weight loss is enough to keep me going.

I too toyed with timetables and I still got hungry at night. Some things are just based on habit and access, which I think for all of us is magnified in the evening. One way I have decided to start combatting this is by going to exercise at night instead of morning. Sure I will need to eat afterwards but most important it will be 2hours that I will not be eating plus the hour or two beforehand where you shouldn't eat.

As far as taking pill at different times I started taking before lunch in the afternoon and I found myself having difficulty getting to sleep at night, where taking in the morning has greatly impvoed my sleep.

When they say on the pamphlet you should take it "before breakfast" do they mean just before, so that it is essentially digested "with" breakfast, or long before, so that it is digested separately?

I actually rang the number included in the instructions and they said you should take it a least half an hour before breakfast. (Don't know why they don't print that in the instructions)

I did this to start with and was ok but had a couple of mornings when I felt off colour/queasy.

Lately I take it an hour before breakfast and I have been ok so far. Only side effects are some numbness in hands and feet and a slow to clear hacking cough. Otherwise, I definitely have more will power.
